#CellularIoT revenue last year was ~3%, it's cute. But this is going to grow
rapidly; after all Nordic invested USD$100M+ into this new product (the
#nRF9160), and launched it in 2018. It takes a while for hardware products to
reach production maturity, but it's starting now.

However, hardware companies typically do not yet have experience running this
form of analytics because in the past it often was not possible. With always
connected devices (#cellulariot!) you suddenly have a convenienent and secure
way to send telemetry and to analize it.

Today I played around with @golioth_iot MQTT
API, and it's very straightforward to start sending in data. The have storage
that represent a digital twin, but also historical data, so it's a great backend
option for mostly offline #cellularIoT devices like the #nRF9160.

I did have a call yesterday about the project we are going to be doing with the
@NordicTweets summer students in my team
this year, and I'm really looking forward building this because it combines an
everyday problem with some cutting edge tech on our devices. #cellulariot #ble

I've interviewed half a dozen students this week for a summer job with me, and
it was really uplifting to talk to people who are new to the industry and what
they see as inspiring and interesting. Really looking forward showing them the
cloud side of #cellularIoT.
