@CodingBeing Right. So if this were code for
a statically compile language, you would expect that it does not allow a
try/catch/finally construct with two returns?

Wouldn't that be a complicated rule to not have a return in finally if there is
one in try?

@amokleben Wir sind beide gleich lang auf
Twitter... Und es ist faszinierend wie es zumindest für mich die einzige
Community ist, in der ich kontinuierlich aktiv bin. Und diejenige die ich aktiv
promote.

@gr2m @typescript
Using TypeScript gets rid of an entire class of errors (how to properly call a
function) and removes the need to test for proper arguments in the
implementation of a function. This removes a lot of code I need to write (and
maintain) because of JS beeing an untyped language.

When looking at organizational design and change it's important to consider
their implications on the software delivery process. --
@mfeathers wishes for more collaboration
between transformation agents and developers. #oredev2019

@cowglow That's possible now. Events can rent
these glass washers which have a 2 minute cleaning cycle already. Combine that
with porcelain mugs during the event and you can even reduce the total amount of
mugs to rent.

Accessible architectures means having written and proven processes that are
valid even in times of crisis. Documentation of expected behaviour and past
decisions helps to reduce confusion and ambiguity which ultimately lead to
frustration. #pamstack #oredev2019

The #Angular CLI is a great example of useful abstractions that hides complexity
away from developers which creates the ability for junior developers to build
and ship valuable features without having to deal with the complexities of
setting up an entire Angular app. #oredev2019

One of the amazing upcoming things will be the ability to control access to PII
data in a way the it never is available to companies while still enabling them
to use it. 🤯

How to change your culture? You change the way your teams work. And that's the
amazing learning here: focus on technical capabilities (which are measurable!)
and what follows is improved culture (more innovative, resilient and
performant). #oredev2019 #accellerate

In his keynote @LeanOnMyself gives a
powerful parable: if you optimize for utilisation of individual teams (optimize
for resource efficiency) in a multi-team process the lead time is high.
Optimization for flow efficiency and your agility and delivery speed improves.

I talked to @IKEA which has a massive booth here
@oredev and they have massive innovation and
digitalisation efforts going on, really exciting stuff is happening there that
makes smart and eco-friendly goods available for a massive customer base. Check
them out! #oredev2019

Goodbye 👋 @oredev, I'm so impressed with what the
team delivered. I rarely have met an organizer group that was so welcoming,
warmhearted and dedicated like on this event. 💯 Your attention detail is world
class. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to experience it. #oredev2019

@chr_horsdal The point is that many tools are
designed to make asynchronous work easier, and if only viewed as a helper for
teams that are distributed, but in the same timezone, provide no benefit.

Think mobprogramming: it's a tool without an alternative if you can't work
synchronously.

@franzen_simon It's basically impossible to
avoid Microsoft products, and they have the means to change, so making noise
will eventually have effect. If you can stop buying or using their services,
great, but that's not always possible.

That small box thing is an active antenna attached to the
@NordicTweets #nrf9160 DK. It speeds up the
time to GPS fix tremendously and allows to get a fix even in problematic
locations like here, close to a wall. Now I no longer need to go outside to
develop the Cat Tracker. 🐈📍

This would raise awareness how many people prefer to work remote, and which jobs
can be done remotely.

I also see that it's often possible for some teams withing a bigger
organization, so visibility of this is often not great for applicants.

I wonder if there is a need for a https://dev.tube/ like site, which is
curated more like a tech conference, with tracks and a dedicated committee per
track, that maintains and keeps a track up to date and relevant.

I see that physical conferences are awesome, but $$$.

Replying to @coderbyheart

Physical conferences cater mostly towards an already privileged group of people,
who have the money and time to attend.

But there seems to be no aggregation of the content that is shared there on a
platform that offers some of the same quality checks and curation.

There can be no fair elections as long as Facebook exists in its current form.
The Great Hack is a chilling warning that social networks enable election
manipulation and the incentives for them are huge. They won't self-regulate.

@Agileonthebeach I needs to involve all
layers in a classical organization, but middle level management is in a unique
position of holding power and status, while being affected to most by a
transformation (self-organization removes many of their classical functions).

Today I used docker, because I needed to run the Azure CLI against an older
Python version.

Learning new stuff is FUN!

Help to welcome someone into this amazing conference, it's a uniquely inclusive
community and perfectly suited for beginners because
@EuroTestingConf handpicks contributors
and creates and incredible learning environment, like no other conference.

@ConfBuddy will be there, too!

Very happy to be having the privilege to join
@EuroTestingConf again next year.

My employer @NordicTweets pays the bill and
I'm double happy because this money enables an amazing group of new speakers to
be seen, which means I get to hear a huge amount of new ideas! #inspiration

Dreaming of a movie in which Charlize Theron and Mads Mikkelsen run a business
that's called when #AI-powered military robots terribly malfunction or get
hacked and need to be neutralized.
