In my experience the problem is not the definition itself, but finding good
OKRs.
I also see them as a good framework to discuss one's purpose in the organization
and what you are contributing, even if you leave out the measurement part.
But it's important to realize that some (even critical) functions in an
organization cannot be measured.
It seems like we exclusively have issues with measuring results. And the
literature makes this look way too easy. As a profession we could research more
and get a better understanding of if that part of OKRs is more harmful.
