Ich hab hier eine Anfrage für eine sehr interessante IT Team Lead Stelle im Raum
Bremen, für ein Non-Profit. Unbefristet, 3/5 Tage remote.

It seems the 280 character limit for tweets now has been rolled out to everyone.

And the number of characters in this tweet is 🕔.

Here is my #JavaScript 🔧 best practice tip of the day 📆: Do not execute code
in a module without being called. Bootstrapping/configuring of modules must be
done in one place 📍 not all around the app 🌐.

@_kevinatari I don't know, but the
combination is great. Go and React and both lightweight tools, great for
web/microservices. Redis is also great for Eventsourcing, and if you have
Events, React works very well with that. You can go pretty far with this setup.

@dtanzer I personally never had the need to do
it. And it worked very well because I did have projects w/ startups who paid me
partially in IOUs. And contracts with companies for a way higher hourly rate.

Replying to @dtanzer

@dtanzer Yes, it's a great way to work with
startups. You don't reduce your hourly rate, or give a rebate. You just postpone
the payment. If the startup is bankrupt, it's your loss. If they survive for 2
years, they had enough time to save for the money (or are hopefully successful).

@firefox FF has no window control icons in the
tab bar as Chrome has.

I can use Alt+F3 to bring up the KDE window manager context menu or drag the
window with the mouse to the upper border to maximize it, though.

After four months in Trondheim I'm flying to Frankfurt 🇩🇪 today to run some
errands.

It feels like way more time has passed since I moved to Norway 🇳🇴 in July.

My roaming provider in Germany for @chess_no is
@o2de and as soon as you are around Frankfurt central station the internet
connection drops.

It's still the same horrible network service I used to hate in 2012 when I was
an O2 customer.

@NordicTweets Vor allem letzteres.

@tpflug @benjamin
Right. I'm certain that there is enough demand for a conference that focuses on
these topics.

It might be that this is just what it needs to make many realize that it's the
soft skills that make or break projects.

Very great solution to donate your returnable bottles here in Trondheim 🇳🇴:
Collectors can see them easily and don't have to dig in the trash.

For me the sentiment of #paytospeak is that as a speaker, I should pay close
attention how accessible it is for other speakers (especially of
underrepresented groups, unexperienced, or low income) to be able to speak at a
certain conference.

Replying to @coderbyheart

An important factor to this is also the economic goal of the conference. There
are many great conference I'm going to which don't ask for insane ticket prices.

Replying to @coderbyheart

#PaytoSpeak also is about creating awareness that we limit diversity in speaker
panels, because it's very easy to chip in the resources to speak at any given
conf as white male with high-income.

We are the easy choice for conference organizers. Think about this privilege!
