It's fucking sad for many of my friends who joined that company in the last
years. Running a startup in hypergrowth mode means that you bet on being able to
build the tracks for the bullet train you are riding on. And often, you run out
of tracks. Nobody should be surprised.

I know it's not much, but you are not fired because of your skills. You are let
go because you are employed by a financial product that tries to beat the market
10 fold and it uses people as a means to achieve that goal.
